“My work includes abstracted mixed media pieces that are often inspired by movement in nature, as well as figures in motion. In particular I try to focus on the interplay between light and colour as well as creating a feeling of space within the picture. The idea of mixing structured objects such as boats with loose abstracted backgrounds interests me, trying to balance these opposing forces so that both looseness and formal elements leave the image both identifiable and yet open to interpretation by the viewer ”.
